1. Discovery

Audience Definition

I will carry out the identification process in determining who will be the recipient of the application design that will be carried out.

Competitive Analysis

I will look at the Market with a similar existing application. After doing screening in determining who is closest to the equation who will be the Competitor. Based on these findings, a Competitive Analysis will be carried out. I will do this Competitive analysis by using the SWOT matrix.

User Scenario

This method will be used to get to know further the users of the application. Then I will determine a possible scenario that users often face to achieve a target.

Content Survey

I will conduct a survey to users regarding the content of the application. Then look at the criteria in fulfilling the needs of existing content and which still need to be developed.

2. Concepting

Process Flows

In this process, I will use the user stories and the flowchart of how the paths of achieving a target are in using the application.

Sitemap

This Sitemap guided me how to structure the Expert application. And this helped me in visualizing how users will navigate the app and what content they need to have to support their goals. That way I can locate and determine any difficulties a user may encounter navigating my application.

Wireframing

I found various ideas in carrying out the application design process. In applying these ideas, I just focus and prioritize the content and usability of the application, namely Low-fidelity wireframe. Low-fidelity wireframes will help me visualize and test early concepts, requirements and design assumptions at the beginning of an application design project. I used paper and my design toolkit to get the ideas started in my sketches. Then later on this sketch I used further in the Balsamiq application to create more vibrant wireframes digitally.

3. Prototyping & User Testing

Prototyping

Then I started mocking up my design application by using programs that I can use such as Marvel and Adobe XD . This program will support me in User Testing so that it can create interactive experiences for users so that its features can be clickable. This is part of the Prototyping process which allows me to test my design functionality against real users.

User Testing

Before I did user testing, I first tested it with the scenario I had previously determined. This process is likely to provide additional input in the initial Revision. Then I will do User testing with good preparation so that the expected results are in accordance with the scenario.

Review

After running the user testing, it helped me to identify problem points that may still be encountered and can provide input on improving the design.

Approval

After completing the application project, I have sent the results to my tutors and mentors. This is to ensure that the product prototype is designed successfully and can be followed up into the development stage. If something doesn't work, I'll make the necessary revisions until the app is viable and ready.

Conclusion

The card sorting results point to the problem of organizing the data, that I assume in the first sitemap. All participants have already done a grouping based on transfer actions, payments, wallets, account information and useful tools (the latter is placed under the account). Based on the results, I’m able to simplify the primary selection based on user frequency usage predictions, then group the information by category of my participants. I also added a new section that didn't appear in the first sitemap. To improve placement on the main category that contains information primary balance and additional balances that need information support of exchange rate conversion and charging fees. I group them by Financial Balances (Wallet) so users can easily find them. Overall, I believe users will expect to complete their quick task closer to sitemap 2 layout than sitemap 1.
